Your survey: What does the Bible mean to you?

Dear Mr. S. Langer, Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Readers,    

Gladly my person would like to share herewith an answer to your survey separately by answering the points from 1 to 10 with >Yes, with the exception of points 4, 5 and 6.    

It is very difficult especially for interested non-Christians to be able to understand the Bible texts of the old language, however, there are enough Christians in the world for this who could help a non-Christian to understand the Word of God.  

For this, one does not have to "tweak" the original version of the Bible texts, because the more the old traditions of the Hebrew and Greek language and their translations are improved or changed, the greater the probability of a change in the contents.   

Especially the Old Testament is very problematic in its expression of contents, but just these old traditions let the reader or listener of the Bible texts recognize that it must be about past times of Christianity and that this legacy was deposited testamentary for all of us. 

Here, too, one can see a development of the history of all mankind and of Christendom, which has been pointed out up to the New Testament.

Now we come to the matter of this letter, because the Bible consists of two testaments, which means that the New Testament, with regard to the Old Testament, contains the validity to open and implement an inheritance or legacy.

"The German word Testament comes from the Latin testamentum. Its original meaning is "legally binding disposition", for example as a regulation for the case of inheritance.  

In Christian church Latin, testamentum is a term adoption of the Greek diatheke (διαθήκη) of the Greek Old Testament, the original Christian scripture in Greek. Testamentum and diatheke are translations of the Hebrew term berit from the Torah.   

A diatheke was, in general, a contract offered by one side that could be accepted or rejected, but not changed, by the other.[1] This meaning is meant in the designation of the two parts of the Christian Bible as the Old Testament and the New Testament, and in the communion words of the Lutheran Bible translation and liturgy: "This is the New Testament in my blood" and "This is my blood of the New Testament," respectively.   

At Mount Sinai, God offered a covenant (berit) that all the people of Israel accepted and witnessed.   

"I am the Eternal, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves. You shall have no other gods before my face."

"You shall not make for yourself any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them, nor worship them. For I, the Eternal, your God, am a jealous God (...)"

Quite clearly, in the Old and New Testaments, God's claim on man is laid down in the testament, and God's plan is also revealed as a prophetic message in the last book of the New Testament in the Revelation of John.   

The book of Revelation, which is very difficult in content, may of course not be changed, but it may be interpreted and explained so that everyone, even a non-Christian, can understand it.   

This interpretation of the Revelation, which concerns the imminent end of the world, has already been professionally bound by Pope Benedict XVI into a solid book and has certainly succeeded by a large margin of other interpretations and revelations of the contents outstandingly!  

The same applies to all his works, which are more than valuable for mankind including the non-Christians, also because they are hopeful messages.   

Thus my person would like to recommend to the reader of the Bible for the last book of the Revelation of John to read the interpretation of Pope Benedict XVI, because then it becomes also clear and obvious that a God-given order directed to mankind, testamentary is present, with the goal of an unity.

Of course, especially my person would like to understand this book of the Revelation of John correctly, in order to be able to open ways and to access the gate of the world as a kind of manager in the matter and commission of the Lord!   

There are always several options, but since the time already sets clear signs, the shortest way would be the best choice in the matter.  

This opening would possibly have the consequence that also abysses could open in the heavenly area and for example peoples of other religions are confronted with the reality and the life after death, if not already happened.       

Only with the revealed truth or reality one can prevent the continuation of the wars of the world probably and stop a misguided religious doctrine with its serious consequences, unless the Cudgel of my person is activated and takes over this part!   

Now there are very many time witnesses of all master countries in my hometown, but there are probably much more possibilities in the city with the gate to the world.      

This is the Hanseatic city Hamburg which my person visited several times some years ago, also by chance to be able to lead a short conversation with an Islamic scholar of a mosque.

Finally I would like to admonish again the "so-called contemporary witnesses" in the matter and in the order with the already mentioned clear interpretation of the Revelation, by a contemporary witness giving testimony about the repeated and strange happenings on the spot.

Thus, my person would like to end this letter with a quotation from Revelation and with a conclusion of a chapter of Revelation:  

"Outside remains ...everyone who loves and does lies" (Rev. 22:15).  

The real search for peace must start from the awareness that the problem of truth and lies concerns every human being and proves to be crucial for a peaceful future of our planet. (Quote above mentioned book on page 55 "The search for peace" by Pope Benedict XVI).
